It was a great day for the club on Sunday (3rd April) as the club held its annual Life Members Eights Day. The day is held in honour of the Life Members acknowledging their contribution and service to the club over the many years. The day began with a large number of rowers taking part in the club races. This was a new record for the club with 64 rowers taking part in the eight oar event over the clubs sprint course. There were a few rowers (pothunters) that took part and suddenly realised what the sport is all about with one certain member crapping up during the final stages of the race. After the water activity was run and one, we gather for the presentations of trophies to the winners as well as the special part of the day, officially introducing to new boats into the clubs fleet. The two boats introduce were a coxed eight called the Tim Catford and a pair/double named the Chris Hammon.
