Save the Date for our next Thursday Night Dinner which will be held on Thursday, 30th April, to be hosted by the Junior Boys Squad. Menu details to follow.

Friends and family member rowing:

ERC welcomes friends and family members to come down and experience rowing and our river. We are also occasionally contacted by overseas rowers with no ERC connection for a row while they’re in Melbourne. This too is fine, and you’ll generally find overseas clubs will be equally welcoming to us when we travel.

Please contact the Captain’s Team in the first instance (captain@essrc.com), to ensure appropriate equipment is used, and that you can provide adequate supervision.

Naturally, if the friend or family member lives locally and finds they enjoy rowing, then please direct them to our website to take up membership (if have prior experience) or to our Learn to Row programs if they are beginners at the sport.

Presentation Night - Save the Date !

Save the Date for Presentation Night 2026, which is to be held on Saturday, 13th June.

We are also looking to put together a small working group to organise and run Presentation Night. If you have some time on your hands and would like to be involved, please email secretary@essrc.com

State Championships dinner:

Our February Thursday Night/State Champs dinner was a great success, with the Master's Squad cooking up a fantastic "carbing it up for States" pasta feast. And thank you to Maddie & Bo for supplementing the dessert menu, with their 'trial' wedding cake which most of us got to have a piece of on the night.

Olympic and multi award winning rower, Hannah Every-Hall gave a very inspirational speech with was no doubt enjoyed by all who attended.

Unfortunately, 2 events, the CWEL2x and the CMEL2x (to be rowed by Rachael & Frankie, Sophie & Zara, Mitchell & Isaac) on the last day of competition, were cancelled due to lightning, which Mark Dwyer reports, struck the officials box taking out the power for a while.

We are proud of each and every one of our rowers who gave it their all, and we thank their amazing ERC support teams both in Sydney and here at home.

Thank you to all the volunteers, BROS and organisers too who helped to make the event such a great success. Final results are available here

Club bikes usage:
  Club bikes usage

The club bikes have now been serviced and mounted to the wall with brackets. The rolling bike rack is now obsolete for bikes and we are looking at a different use for this rack.

There are 3 bikes that are now fully operational, with a 4th just needing a minor repair before it can also be used. The remaining bikes have been tied together and will be used for spare parts. The club is pursuing various grants to update the current bikes for Coaches.

A big shout out to Mick Dwyer for making the bike rack for the club, and to Mark Dwyer for servicing and repairing the bikes.

Please note: the bikes are for Coaches use only!

Members who are not coaching and in particular Junior squad members are not to use these bikes under any circumstances.

Thanks for your understanding.
