Essendon Football & Community Sporting Club

As one of the local affiliated sporting clubs with the EFCSC, members of the Essendon Rowing Club are automatically granted membership to the Essendon Social Club.

Membership provides:

• Access to Windy Hill Social Club venue & all associated membership privileges.

In addition, the Essendon Football Club generously provides a donation to the Essendon Rowing Club on an annual basis. This funding is used to promote the Strengthening Communities message that underpins the Essendon Football Club vision. An initiative of the EFCSC Limited Trustees is to provide affiliated local sporting groups within the Essendon Community with financial assistance to better serve their needs.

EFCSC Grant Program

The Essendon Football Club and EFCSC Limited share as one of their business objectives the fostering of community sporting involvement and support. For the past ten years, groups in the Essendon community have benefited from funds made available by the Essendon Football and Community Sporting Club. Under the 2004 merger agreement between the EFC and the EFCSC, the ongoing support of the EFC, to affiliated sporting sections, will be extended. The EFC, in conjunction with the EFCSC Trust, will make available a sum equal to 1/3 of the EFC Windy Hill Venue profit, to support the local sporting community via an Annual Grant Program.

The aim of the grant is to provide local sporting groups within the Essendon Community with financial support to assist them in achieving their objectives.

Objectives of the Grant Program:

• To assist in the development of sporting groups within the local Essendon community.
• To provide for the affiliated sporting community through financial assistance.
• To increase the awareness of community relationships between EFCSC Limited, the EFCWindy Hill Venue, Essendon Football Club and the public.
